and Handling
WARNING: Remember, the instructions contained here are only basic,
and should not be followed if your doctor advises otherwise. Use,
only, the products and procedures that are recommended by your doctor.
| NOTE: Never
remove a contact lens over an open drain. Always use a counter
top or vanity. Always clean lenses before storing. Store in
a tightly sealed lens case with prescribed solution. |
| Cleaning |
| Always
wash your hands thoroughly with a mild soap and rinse. |
 |
 |
Completely
dry hands with a lint free towel. Avoid cold creams, lotion,
or oily cosmetics. |
| Remove
the lens from the storage case. Examine to be sure it
is moist, clean, and clear. |
 |
 |
Handle
lens with finger tips. Avoid contact with fingernails.
Clean and rinse your lens with Doctor recommended cleaning
solution and method. |
|
| Insertion |
| Clean
& rinse the lens. Place a drop of prescribed wetting solution
on both convex & concave surface of the lens. |
 |
 |
With
the drop of wetting solution still on the concave surface,
place the lens on your dry middle finger. Hold the upper
lid up and away from the eye. Create a clear path for
the lens to the eye. Bring the lens up slowly, touch the
lens to the eye. Once in place, release lids and blink.

- Chris Method |
|
Make
sure that your hands are completely dry and free of
oils and debris. Hold your head over the counter, looking
face down. Position your middle fingers of each hand,
one on the top eye lid, the other on the lower eye lid.
Hold the eye lids open. Lightly touch the center of
the MacroLens with the index finger of the bottom hand.
Look up, and the lens will adhere to the finger and
be removed from the eye. Be careful not to drop the
lens.

| Removal
- Finger Method |
 |
NOTE:
Minutes before you begin removal, it is important that
you place a drop or two of wetting solution in the eye.
Develop the habit of working with the same lens first
to avoid mix-ups. Hold the upper lid up & away from the
eye. Create a clear path for the lens to the eye. Bring
the lens up to the eye slowly, touch the lens to the eye.
Once in place, release lids & blink. Using the corresponding
hand to the lens being removed, place one finger on the
upper lid and lashes, and another on the lower lid, directly
center of the lens. Look directly downward, then sharply
upward and nasally. The lens will catch and easily fall
out. Always have the non-corresponding hand cupped under
the eye, to catch the falling lens.

| Removal
- Suction Cup Method |
Position
the transfer cup towards the edge of the lens. DO NOT
position in the center of the lens or any part of the
exposed eye. Slowly move the cup towards the lens until
the cup touches the lens. Apply slight pressure, allowing
the cup to grab the lens. Keeping the eyelids open, pull
the contact lens remover directly away from the eye. The
lens will stay attached to the cup and will be removed
from the eye. Using a recommended contact lens remover
only.
